Poppy Love

Here's the "set up"......  I've taken a canvas sheet and mounted it on archival foamboard.  I love Poppies.....wish I had them in our yard but there's truly no room for a nice patch of these beauties.  :(  (Oh, and Yes, that "ghostly figure in the background .........my husband is in the other room watching SouthPark)

Here's the initial sketch .....I really like how the undertone looks so I'm making it a part of the composition.
